Welcome to the-miu-miu-london

Miuccia Prada opened her three night only private members' club, the-miumiu-london last night at the splendidly revamped and shortly to re-open Café Royal in London's Piccadilly.

A select group of women from the worlds of fashion, art, music and film have been granted the short-term membership to the perfect place to hang out (they can of course invite guests to accompany them). The-miu-miu-london has a bar, a restaurant, a shop selling limited edition product alongside Miu Miu's resort collection (open til midnight each day for champagne-fuelled shopping sprees), and the conversation room hosting talks and screenings of Women's Tales, a series of four short films commissioned for the Venice Film Festival last August.

The Powder Room is directed by Zoe Cassavetes; Muta is a film noir directed by the Argentinean film maker Lucrecia Martel; The Woman Dress by Giada Colagrande, and It's Getting Late by Massy Tadjedin - about the ritual of getting ready to go out, with a cast that includes Gemma Arterton and Rinko Kikuchi.

The restaurant features a similarly stellar cast - each night there is a different chef. Last night Andrew Turner, who is to return to the Café Royal as executive chef when it officially re-opens as a luxury hotel next week, served dinner. Tonight is the turn of Michelin-starred April Bloomfield, and the final night will be Margot Henderson who runs the Rochelle Canteen in Shoreditch.

Guests are issued with the Miu Miu code of behaviour - 10 rules made to be broken which include 'come as you are', and 'meet a friend and make a new one'.

Last night, before and after the British Fashion Awards, they included Andrea Dellal, Corinne Bailey Rae, Edie Campbell and Nick Cave and Susie Bick.

Caroline Harvey, Felicity Jones, Bonnie Wright, and Klaartje Quirijns hosted a conversation exploring female creativity in cinema.

If you want to join the club but don't have membership, you can see what's happening and follow the conversation on miumiu.com where this evening's conversation between Miuccia Prada's favourite fashion editor, the impeccably chic Shala Monroque and The Gentlewoman's Penny Martin, will be livestreamed at 6.30. Shake yourself a cocktail, log on, and enjoy.
