Kim Kardashian releases a statement re her pregnancy, as it emerges Kanyes announcement was a surprise

Earlier today we told you the exciting news that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their first child together. Yay Kimye.

Now the reality star has confirmed it herself on her website, she wrote in an entry entitled ‘New Year, New Beginnings’:

‘It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us.

‘Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo’

Meanwhile it’s been reported that the Kanye’s decision to announce the news during his show last night was a complete surprise.

Apparently she was planning on waiting until she was showing to announce the news but Kanye decided that because her mum and all their friends were there it would be the perfect time to tell the world.

Kim surprisingly didn’t mind and insiders say she was ‘crying tears of joy’.

Aww, ok congrats again. Hopefully this will be the last time we hear anything about it until she pops the sprog. We should be so lucky.
