First Look: Marilyn

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death, and to accompany an exhibition in her honor at Florence's Museo Salvatore Ferragamo, the museum is releasing a book full of both iconic and never-before-seen images of the star. Best known for, well, all of her on- and off-screen performances, Monroe was a loyal Ferragamo customer — she owned dozens of pairs of the designer's shoes and is credited with making his four-inch-heel pumps famous. While her footwear (and 50 of her outfits) are on display in Italy, Monroe's day-to-day life is chronicled through photos and text in the tome, edited by Stefania Ricci and Sergio Risaliti.
