Kelly Brook insisted on stripping off for Keith Lemon The Film
That Kelly Brook's a right sort, eh?
The glamour girl has said she insisted that she stripped down to her undercrackers for her role in Keith Lemon The Film.
When the 32-year-old read the script for the film, in which she plays herself, she was shocked to see that there were no scenes requiring her to strip off, something she's best known for.
"I got the script — but there was no part where I was in underwear," Kelly told The Sun.
So Kelly had a quick word with Keith Lemon's creator Leigh Francis.
"There was nothing remotely like that. It was always Keith referencing sexy things. So I said to Leigh, 'You have not got one scene where I am in my underwear, which is probably what I am most famous for in the UK.'
"He goes, 'Well, we didn't want to ask you.' And I was like, 'Listen, I think you should do it. When I walk down the corridor, you can put me in slow-mo, give me a wind machine and let me do my thing.'"
Kelly couldn't believe she was the one trying to convince Leigh to let her strip off.
"I was thinking, 'Why am I trying to sell it to them?' Most actresses try to talk themselves out of these scenes — but that's where I am generous. I felt the movie needed more girls."
Self-promotion
Kelly's generosity wasn't 100 percent selfless, mind you. She admits it was a good way to plug her new underwear range.
"But it did help that I got to plug my Kelly Brook New Look lingerie. There was something in it for me.
Believe it or not Kelly wasn't actually first choice for the role, in which Kelly plays Keith's girlfriend.
"Leigh wanted Anna Friel for the role but she wasn't available. I just want to get paid. I'm still waiting."
