Beyonce & Jay-Z: Birthday Yachting with Blue Ivy

Looking for some quality family time, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z hopped on a yacht and sailed around the Mediterranean Sea in the South of France yesterday (September 4).

Joined by their adorable seven-month-old daughter Blue Ivy, the "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" songstress and her "Empire State of Mind" rapper hubby looked blissful as they frolicked around the luxury craft, sipping wine and having a blast.

Ms. Knowles was celebrating her 31st birthday and rather than making a huge deal about the occasion, she showed her desire for privacy with a low-key day at sea.

Beyonce received a hand-written note from a few folks for her birthday- Gwyneth Paltrow wrote, "For dear sweet BB on the occasion of her 31st birthday...We love you so very much. Love Gwyneth, Chris, Apple, Moses."

Knowles' mother Tina added, "God blessed me with one of the greatest gifts in my life on Sept. 4, 1981. Happy birthday," while sister Solange shared, "There is no-one like you in the world, of all of your mind blowing achievements that one that first comes to mind is your kindness. Your sense of selflessness, consideration of other people's well-being and your beautiful generosity are all things that make me so proud be your sister and your friend."
