Kate Middletons Alexander McQueen Misstep (Forum Buzz)

Kate Middleton has certainly morphed into a bit of a fashion icon since wearing Alexander McQueen for her fairy tale-iest of fairy tale weddings to Prince William over a year ago, but even newly minted fashion icons make mistakes. At an event at the Istana Palace in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore as part the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour, the Duchess wore a white and gold Alexander McQueen gown that forum members found to be an uncharacteristic fashion misstep. 

“I have to say,” MulletProof began, “that last Alexander McQueen dress is quite possibly the ugliest thing I've seen her wear, ever. I'm not sure if it's the chest or the sleeves, or the whole combination but yikes. I get the impression that she isn't comfortable in it either.”

Ladi wrote, “That dress is unflattering, it looks like a cheap Halloween costume.”

Jomarlushka didn’t mind the look too much. “The McQueen gown is a bit cheesy but I still love it in a Bollywood kind of way,” she posted.

It’s definitely not her best look, but she’s got plenty of time to make up for it.
