Agyness Deyn At The Pusher Premiere: 'I Fell In Love With My Character'

It was a cold night last night in London, not that you would have known from Suki Waterhouse’s Pusher premiere attire. For as the rest of us put on our fifth jumper, the model and actress was showing off her midriff in a white lace crop top and some amazing leather trousers – to be fair we’d be more inclined to try the look if we had a washboard flat stomach like hers. Jealous? Us?
Suki joined cast mates Agyness Deyn and Richard Coyle at the premiere of their new film which took place at the Hackney Picture House last night, later heading to the Hoxton Pony for the after party. A rather fitting east end setting considering that that is where the gritty film is set. Pusher – a remake of the 1997 flick of the same name - chronicles the struggles of Frank a hard up drug dealer living in London who falls into trouble with a ruthless drug lord after he fails to pay back his debts.
For Agyness – who looked majorly lovely in a white Comme Des Garcons dress - this is her first major lead in a film and a further step away from modelling. She revealed that she was drawn to her character Flo – Frank’s girlfriend, a stripper and drug addict – because of her vulnerability.
‘She’s so vulnerable but so strong at the same time, it’s as if she sees everything for the first time,' she told Grazia Daily. 'She’s a romanticist, she sees the best in people and wants to bring that out of Frank. I fell in love with her.’
As for Suki, she said: 'I was nervous to see myself on screen but I loved the finished film and I think everyone has worked really hard to create something special'.
