Danny – who’s supposed to be a hard-hitting spy for goodness sakes - admitted that he was reduced to tears when he first heard Adele’s soundtrack for James Bond movie Skyfall.

He confessed to Yahoo Movies: “I cried. From the opening bars I knew immediately, then the voice kicked in and it was exactly what I’d wanted from the beginning.

Adele was lucky enough to be given the script before some parts of the film were even made to help her pen the song.

The man who plays 007 added: “It just got better and better because it fitted the movie. In fact the more of the movie we made, the more it fitted it.”
