Jessica Simpsons parents are getting divorced amid rumours her dad is gay

Before the days anyone knew about the Kardashians and ‘momager’ Kris Jenner, there was a ‘dadager’ in town and that was Joe Simpson, the father of Jessica and Ashley (he made Kris look meek in comparison).

After some years out of the spotlight Joe has made headlines again after it emerged his wife Tina has filed for divorce.

TMZ have reported that Tina filed the papers in Texas last month, stating: "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

Now it’s rumoured that the ‘discord’ may be because Joe is in fact gay. Well, The National Enquirer reported that he gathered his family together to break the news to them that not only was he coming out of the closet but he also had a boyfriend.

Simpson’s people aren’t having any of it, quashing the rumours saying: "It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."
