Adele is the voice behind the new Bond song

 

Earlier today, Adele did that strange thing she rarely does.

No, it wasn't that she suddenly stopped gabbling or took the bins out while wearing a purple towelling robe, yelling 'Just doin' this naaaw!". It was that utterly rare thing she only does for the most monumental of occasions. Yep, that's right, you got it...she tweeted! This time, it was to tell us that she had recorded the Bond theme song.

It was confirmed last month that she would be the one to record the song, but today not only has she tweeted a photo of the production notes for the recording of the song (called Skyfall), she has also revealed that the song will premiere on Friday 5 October at 0:07 (nice touch!)

We're quite into it but we've got a distinct feeling that the snippet cuts out just before the big, soaring chorus kicks in.
