Marion Cotillard pays tribute to 'Dior Bombshells' in new video
Late August saw many a fashionista's heart flutter as French couture house Dior announced they would be releasing a series of web documentaries starring 'Lady Mystery'; an enigmatic identity who would chart the whirlwind of her fairytale life through snapshots of her involvement with the brand.
With the Lady in Dior confirmed as French actress Marion Cotillard, the exploration started with the seamstresses, and slowly expanded into an elegant mash-up of the French actress' fittings and social engagements wearing the couture pieces. The second episode involved some commendable free-form dancing from Marion on various campaign sets.

What does episode three: 'La Métamorphose' teach us about the venerable French fashion house? That the legendary Bar Suit is cut to fall precisely 40cm above the ground and was conceived with an itsy bitsy waist in mind.
And while the women wearing the suits - affectionately dubbed Dior Bombshells - were undoubtedly petite, the video reveals padding as the secret to projecting a woman's hips, thus making waist lines appear thinner.

With much swishing around of skirt layers and red-lipped close-ups of Cotillard, DiorMag have unveiled the third gem. If only padding, rather than spanx, were the current slimming method en vogue…
