Rebecca Ferguson admits shes shocked Zayn branded their romance a mistake

It’s never nice when an ex-partner calls your relationship a ‘mistake’ but it’s even less nice when they are famous and talk about it publically.

Poor Rebecca Ferguson suffered the ultimate humiliation last week when her ex boyfriend Zayn Malik broke his silence about their break up, perhaps not in the most sensitive of ways (the couple famously dated when he was 18 and she was 24).

Speaking to Now magazine last week the One Direction singer said: 'It shouldn't have happened. It was just a wrong idea from the start.

'It did end quite badly so we don't talk any more. We're not in touch at all.'

Now Rebecca has spoken to new! magazine about what he said. She admitted: 'I was so shocked by what he said! But I'm not going to retaliate.'

She did add: 'I'm not one to reveal big secrets about what's gone on in a relationship, and I think he was probably put up to this. I know him too well to think he'd say it deliberately.

'I won't talk about what went wrong between us but he knows what happened. And it is what it is.'

Well it’s nice that she thinks he didn’t do it on purpose.  We doubt we’d be so forgiving.
