TOWIE recap: Are Jess Wright and Ricky Rayment splitting up?

TOWIE recap: Are Jess Wright and Ricky Rayment splitting up?

Is it all over for TOWIE's power couple Jess Wright and Ricky Rayment?

In last night's episode of The Only Way Is Essex, Jess and Ricky seemed to agree that their relationship wasn't working. Despite it only being last week that Ricky was down on one knee asking Jess to move in with him.

Jess was having a night out with Billie and Sam Faiers, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Billi Mucklow when Ricky turned up at the end of the night to pick her up.

After all the other girls had left, an upset Jessica asked Ricky: "Haven't you been thinking about me and you and all that sh*t last night?"

She then raised her voice and spelt out to him: "I am upset," after arguing that he's been moaning about not seeing his buddy Little Chris enough, despite the fact that her and Ricky haven't been spending much time together lately.

Ricky said: "I think we're in different places. I wanted a relationship, but I didn't want this relationship.

"I thought I was ready but I'm not mentally ready to be there all the time. I don't think I'm ready for that.'

Jess then said that she wanted to have a fun relationship, to which Ricky argued: "We're not having fun."

Before running to the toilets in tears, Jess had the final word, saying: "There's not much more to say. We want different things. Your idea of a relationship is different to mine."

The cracks had already started to show at the beginning of the show when Jess told Lucy: "It's weird... on a Saturday night he chooses to go out with his mates when we've got nothing to do.

"At the beginning we were talking about marriage etc... I don't want to get hurt."

But it wasn't just Jess and Ricky's relationship that was on the rocks last night – Joey Essex broke down in tears when talking about him and Sam to Diags, Tom Pearce and James 'Arg' Argent.

Joey explained to Arg earlier in the show how they always get 'the hump' with each other, saying: "She gets the hump so I get the hump... she always gets the hump first."

Arg replied: "What you're trying to say is Sam's quite controlling," before asking him what the next step was.

Joey then revealed that he was planning to marry her "between now and the next eight months."

Let's hope Joey and Sam sort it out – we'd love a TOWIE wedding!
