Amy Winehouses ex boyfriend Reg Traviss not guilty of rape

Film director Reg Traviss has been cleared of raping a woman who was sleeping in his flat on New Year’s Eve.

The woman claimed Traviss had forced himself on her twice in one night after she and some pals had gone out with him to “take his mind off” the death of his ex-girlfriend, Amy Winehouse.

Traviss said there was absolutely “no truth” in the allegations and claimed that she had in fact instigated sex with him.

He also said that the morning their night out he’d taken her back to a nearby station, had repaid her some money borrowed from the evening before and then they’d both kissed each other goodbye.

As the not guilty verdict was delivered Traviss closed his eyes, bowed his head then thanked the judge.
