As 2012 year comes to a close, it's time to reflect on who, over the past 300-plus days of red carpet soirées, galas, press junkets, product launches (and endless paparazzi photo opportunities of course), have made the most impression on us with their wardrobes.

Miranda Kerr, the Victoria's Secret model (and wife of actor Orlando Bloom) is one of them, as the recent spike of public interest in the Australian has seen her adopt a series of head-to-toe designer looks as she runs errands around the Big Apple with her adorable son, Flynn.

Singer Rihanna has spent the year defying baggage limits with a seemingly endless suitcase of trendsetting gear while changing continents as often as the average person changes their underwear (that'll be daily, just to clarify).

Meanwhile Alexa Chung continues to make a pretty picture in her irreverent but decidedly more grown-up style - but she's got competition: 14-year-old Elle Fanning and top model Karlie Kloss are firmly clipping on her low-stacked heels.
