Has Simon Cowell been taking style tips from Harry Potter?

If Simon Cowell was aiming for the geek chic look when he stepped out in these oversized, round framed glasses then he certainly missed the mark.

But let’s be honest, it’s doubtful he was trying to keep up with any kind of fashion trend, since he evidently hasn’t tried doing that since…. Ever (one quick glance at his outfit and hair will tell you that).

The music mogul showed off these really quite hideous Harry Potter-esque specs as he left the Britain’s Got Talent audition yesterday alongside the infinitely better dressed Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

And speaking of that reality show, Simon is currently in the midst of making a movie about the winners of last year's programme Ashleigh and Pudsey. No joke.

The movie will predominately focus on the dog with Ashleigh only cropping up in it occasionally, which must be a nit insulting for her. The film will start to shoot in the spring and will be out by the end of this year (straight to DVD no doubt).
