Spring 2013 Couture Shows: Chanel, Dior, and More

Today marks the end of a remarkably snow- and sometimes-Uggs-filled haute couture season in Paris. Despite the cold, sheer garments filled the runways this season, making appearances in the forms of a catsuit at Zuhair Murad, bedazzled gowns at Elie Saab, and delicate floral-covered dresses at Christian Dior. In the spirit of keeping the drama of couture alive, Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel both ended their shows with grand finales, hiding a quartet of gypsy children under the skirt of a wedding dress and sending two brides down the runway, respectively.
