Fashion Editor Street Style: New York Fashion Week Fall 2013 (Forum Buzz)
New York Fashion Week is in full swing and the Editors are out in droves, braving the cold, snowy streets of the Big Apple to take in the shows. Layers, hats and fur appear to be style staples thus far (no surprise there), but it’s all about the coats and other outerwear. If we could steal any of the pieces from these Fashion Editors’ wardrobes, it would be the coats off their backs. Scroll through the slideshow below, and you’ll see why.
A Prada-bedecked ADR finally hit the New York Fashion Week scene.
"This coat would be perfect on her without those ridiculous shoes and white tights," mackos lamented.

Kate once again proved that black is anything but basic when it's part of her wardrobe.

Joanna wore the super popular black and red combination that’s been all over the streets of New York this Fashion Week.
Image: IMAXtree
"Fab shoes!" Not Plain Jane exclaimed about Joanna's enviable footwear. The studded gloves aren't so bad either.
Image: IMAXtree
Giovanna sported hightop wedge sneakers and a leopard print fur coat over an all black ensemble.

Zanna stepped out in a sharp combination of blues, white and black.

A detail of Zanna’s dangerously high – but likely very warm – footwear.

Zanna paired a midi-length skirt with mid-calf boots and a black leather jacket to chic effect.

Caroline’s coat – though warm we’re sure – had a bit too much of an Oscar the Grouch vibe.
Image: IMAXtree
This ensemble of Caroline’s is much more like it. Light colors feel fresh during the winter, and the pop of orange on the jacket’s lapels adds a fun bit of interest.

“Metallic-toe pumps by Gianvito Rossi,” kasper! identified. “She used them in her latest Harper’s Bazaar editorial.”

Taylor worked the pants-under-skirt trend while hitting the streets with her Moda Operandi colleagues.
“Love her outfits, but im not sure about pants under skirts trend,” godsavethhequeen admitted.

Elle’s Accessories Director stepped out in black and wintry green while also sporting a chic envelope clutch.

Hamish managed to look uber-fashionable despite his utilitarian pink rubber rain boots.
Image: IMAXtree
As the weather improved, so did Hamish’s style. His mix of blues, purples, and greys (down to the umbrella) is inspired.

Mary Kate worked a combination of blue, black and white while donning a baseball cap to shield her from the elements.

A detail of Mary Kate’s accessorized blue leather Miu Miu bag.

Mary Kate accessorized with yet another Miu Miu, scarf-embellished bag. She topped her all black ensemble with a blue fur coat.

“Not a fan of [that military green look],” gossiping posted.

Miroslava took in shows like Theyskens’ Theory and more in a casual look consisting of jeans, a pink sweater, and elephant grey thigh high boots.
Image: IMAXtree
The bright red and black combination brought a fun dose of color to the dreary streets of New York, but Anya would have done well to pair her dress with black tights. The two shades of red are kind of throwing us off.

Ece also sported chic black and red, topping it off with a utilitarian military green jacket.

“She looks cute, if cold,” Not Plain Jane remarked of Taylor’s look as she braved the snowy winter weather in New York this Fashion Week.
Image: IMAXtree
“I like the look with the Burberry coat,” gossiping posted. “Looks good on her.”
Image: IMAXtree
“So brave to wear those shoes in the snow,” gossiping laughed about Miroslava’s treacherously towering heels.
“I hate this hat, but the coat is amazing!” MayaStar exclaimed.
Image: IMAXtree
Miroslava repeated the bunny-tail pouf motif (in white this time) from her previous Burberry look while otherwise wearing black from head to toe.

Now the style director at T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Kate is still a regular on the Fashion Week circuit (and we’re super thankful for it).
“That's one cozy-looking take on the pea coat!” Not Plain Jane commented.
“She is so cool I just can’t get over it,” dauphine wrote.

Mary Kate Steinmiller bundled up, piling on the layers to keep the New York City cold at bay.
“I like the layers,” wrote Not Plain Jane. “I just don’t like the bag here.”

Anya worked a black and winter white combination, pairing volume with volume on top and bottom.

Caroline topped her winter white and cream with fashion-forward over the knee boots and a military-style coat.

Caroline mixed black, white and brown, choosing practical warm pieces to stay comfortable and cozy.

Vogue Turkey’s Editor-at-Large worked leather, fur and multiple layers on the cold streets of New York.
