Brand new zombie drama In The Flesh about to hit BBC Three
A new zom-dram that's going to do for zombies what Twilight did for vampires is about to hit our screens this month.
In The Flesh stars Luke Newberry (you might recognise him from the Harry Potter films), as Kieren Walker, a troubled lad whose life ended prematurely. If that wasn't enough he's zombie-fied during a mysterious epidemic which sees the recently dead rising from their graves to attack and feed on the living.
Nice.
Zombie cure
Luckily, the NHS manage to find the cure for the epidemic, round up the flesh-eaters and herd them in to treatment centres where they are 'cured'. That is, they are still dead, but personality-wise they're back to their old selves.
In The Flesh is set four years after this – just as the former zombies (or Partial Death Syndrome sufferers as they like to be called) are being slathered with slap to hide their dealthy pallor, and sent back home to their families. Trouble is, they've got to live with the guilt of what they've done. Which, in Kieren's case, includes eating the girl next door.
March 17
The first of this three-parter will be airing March 17 on BBC Three. We've seen the first episode and it's pretty damn good. Don't believe us? Check out the trailer and see for yourself.
