Kate Middleton Wears A Topshop 'Contrast Collar Dress' And Crepe Goat 'Redgrave' Coat For A Charity Visit To Child Bereavement UK

Earlier this month we revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge had enjoyed a shopping spree at Topshop. Now it appears that alongside her 'Deirdre dress' by concession brand Lovestruck - which we imagine her wearing in the final stages of her pregnancy as the weather gets a little warmer - Kate bought a Contrast Collar Dress (£42) from the Topshop main line in black with a crisp white collar. The mother-to-be is visiting the headquarters of Child Bereavement UK today to meet staff and learn about the organisation's work, and she arrived wearing the Topshop frock teamed with the 'Redgrave coat' from cashmere designer Goat - available to buy for £560. Kate was joined in Buckinghamshire, by her husband and after chatting to crowds gathered outside the centre they headed inside where Child Bereavement UK supporters, including baking queen Mary Berry, were there to greet them.

Kate teamed her monochrome dress and cream coat with black accessories including tights, gloves, a bow clutch and suede heels. This isn't the first time that she has popped her collar as she wore a navy Mulberry dress on her official tour of Asia last year as well as Mulberry's ‘Cabbage’ Dress at Buckingham Palace in November. Has she been taking style tips from the Queen of the Peter Pan collar, Alexa Chung, we wonder?

Expect the Contrast Collar Dress to fly off the shelves now that the DoC has given it her royal seal of approval. Like most Brit girls she's been a long-time fan of the brand with previous purchases including a spotty pencil skirt.
The choice of coat perfectly complements the detail of the dress. On her way into the charity HQ Kate wore her woolen outerwear with the collar of the dress folding over the neckline, allowing the cream hue of the jacket to contrast with the white collar. Goat's founder and creative director told Grazia Daily exclusively "We're absolutely thrilled that the Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear Goat and she looks absolutely gorgeous". We agree!
