Skyfall Scores Six Empire Nominations

Given that it's the biggest James Bond 007 film of all time, it's only fitting that "Skyfall" has been nominated for six trophies at the upcoming Empire Awards.

The British spy flick will compete for Best Film, while stars Daniel Craig and Judi Dench are up for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Additionally, Sam Mendes snagged a nod for Best Director.

Meanwhile, "Avengers Assemble" and "The Hobbit" received a total of five nominations each, making for some fierce competition.
