Calling All Copy Kates: Sneak Preview Of Issa London's Collection For Banana Republic

Copy Kates, rejoice! WWD reports that Issa, one of our favourite London-based brands, is set to take to the high street collection thanks to a collaboration with Banana Republic.
Possibly Issa's most memorable moment came in 2010 when one of their dresses was worn to a rather high-profile announcement - and it just happened to be a royal one. Yes, you may remember that Kate Middleton hand-picked the brand when she announced her engagement to Prince William and THAT blue, silk jersey dress spawned a zillion copy cats as well as a maternity version.
Issa has since become a personal fave of the Duchess so fashion bunnies itching to emulate Kate's look will no doubt be delighted to hear the Banana Republic collaboration will see a 40-piece collection hitting the high-street in August.
The sketches above give us a taster of the K-Middy-esque creations that are set to come. Issa’s Brazilian designer Daniella Helayel, who launched the brand in 2003, was inspired by Banana Republic’s safari heritage so expect to see animal prints including zebra and giraffe stripes on kimono, wrap-tie and pleated dresses.
Also get excited for some African-inspired accessories including gold nugget and cord necklaces, envelope clutches and patterned scarves, all at purse-friendly prices. Bring on that safari chic!
