Celeb style at Coachella can get a bad rap, but the music festival didn’t suddenly transform every star from her polished red carpet self into a floral-crown-and-fringe-crop-top-wearing love child. Certain celebs struck the perfect balance between hippie and hipster with laid-back looks that still gave off an indie festival vibe. Here’s you how can rock their style:

At Coachella, denim cut-offs were ubiquitous and they're a must-have for your warm weather wardrobe (although Emma Roberts earned some rock n’ roll cred in a pair of scalloped leather shorts, this leather-obsessed season’s answer to cut-offs). Next, add a relaxed graphic tee—bonus points if you borrowed it from Robert Pattison, which Kristen Stewart appears to have done. Don’t have a crop-top? No worries — just tie up your tee à la Roberts and Behati Prinsloo. A pair of Western-style ankle boots with a buckle add an edge to this look, while a cross-body leather bag like the one Rumer Willis carried is to summer adventuring what a clutch is to the red carpet (i.e. essential). Top it all off with a pair of shades, but don’t hide behind them — pick a shape or color like Prinsloo’s that makes you stand out (no violet wig necessary).
