Congratulations Keira! Keira Knightley Gets Married With An Intimate Ceremony in Provence

Everyone’s favourite pouty actress, Keira Knightley has tied the knot with her long term rocker boyfriend James Righton in the Hotel de Ville, Mazan in Provence. The British duo kept the service ultra low-key with only a handful of guests present in the village town hall. Opting for a simple strapless dress in a blush tulle and teaming it with a classic cream Chanel boucle jacket, Knightley was the very antithesis of an over-styled celebrity bride.

Keeping with the relaxed, bohemian vibe, Keira finished her look with peach coloured leather ballerinas and a simple garland of flowers in her hair. Dark shades added some glamour, but the chilled out, rock ‘n’ roll ceremony – some guests were dressed in jeans – has made us fall in love with the new Mrs Righton all over again. In contrast to the lavish, choreographed extravaganzas that we have become used to (hello, Kim Kardashian), Keira has provided a role model for brides who don’t go in for the bridezilla madness.

This evening the newlyweds are set to host a big party at Keira’s Provencal retreat, as the peaked roofs of a large marquee have been photographed in her grounds. And while we can presume Keira will be making a costume change for the soiree (perhaps the Chanel jacket points to Karl Lagerfeld’s design involvement…), it may be her carefree look for her simple wedding that will provide the most enduring inspiration for brides to be.
