Dakota and Elle Fanning for Rodarte?

Hollywood sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning both rocked up to the Met Ball sporting Rodarte numbers - Dakota in a wing-embellished black gown and Elle in a tie-dye creation - and if the latest rumours are to be believed, they may have had a hand in designing them, too.

The Mail on Sunday quotes a 'mole' as saying the siblings are working with Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the design duo (yes, they're sisters too) behind the New York-based label, on a collaboration.

"The girls have been very hands-on," says the mole, though the creature doesn't elaborate further. This could mean we're set to see an entire collaborative collection, or maybe just a few special pieces.

19-year-old Dakota has been a Hollywood fixture since the tender age of seven, when she put in an acclaimed performance in Oscar-nominated I Am Sam . Her younger sister Elle, 15, is quickly catching up with her star status thanks to her appearances in Super 8 and Sofia Coppola's Somewhere . Both have also became regular FROW fixtures, regularly taking in Chanel and, of course, Rodarte shows, and have also both appeared in campaigns for Marc Jacobs - Dakota was only 12-years-old when she posed for her first.

The elder sibling has also previously spoken of her little sister Elle's love of fashion , saying: "Elle knows every single model, every single collection, every single piece from every single collection… She has a real passion, and it's not at all in a materialistic way. She genuinely appreciates the workmanship and creativity."
