The Scent of Spring: 12 Irresistible New Fragrances
This season brands have pulled out all the stops launching fragrances to appeal to everyone from the modern muse to the flashy vixen. Here's a look at some of the most notable.
Jimmy Choo Flash, $55-$98
Not as aggressive as you might think for a fragrance that comes in a chandelier-inspired bottle and packaged in a sparkly box, this feminine white floral includes pink pepper, tangerine, strawberry, tuberose, jasmine, white lily, heliotrope and white wood notes.
Central Park South, $190-$260
Given its proximity to the park, it's fitting that CPS is a fresh floral. Notes include jasmine, lily of the valley, grapefruit, black currant, as well as some woody notes.
Cherry in the Air, $56
Light and fruity this new scent's notes include black cherry, raspberry, mandarin, marshmallow, gardenia, coconut, sandalwood and oakwood.
Bottega Veneta Eau Legere, $90–$115
The timing couldn't be better for a lighter version of the original Bottega Veneta scent which includes bergamot, pepper jasmine and gardenia notes.
Clinique Happy in Bloom, $37
The latest iteration of Clinique Happy, Bloom is a sweet, upbeat (do you see the bottle?) floral.
Desire, $93–$112
Mixing alluring musky and caramel notes with florals like lily of the valley, tuberose and jasmine along with lychee, make this both a seductive and a feminine scent.
Prada Candy L'Eau, $88
Nothing says spring like a sweets-inspired scent and Prada's new take on their Candy fragrance now includes sweet pea and citrus along with the caramel from the original.
Liliana, $20-$68
Inspired by the jazz age, the brand's latest fragrance is a musky-floral mix that includes bergamot, neroli, watery peach, muguet, gardenia, white peony, sandalwood and patchouli notes, all of which are packaged in a new limited-edition bottle.
La Collection de Grasse, $75 each
The brand's latest fragrance collection was inspired by, obviously enough, the South of France and includes four clean, straightforward scents: Jasmine & Bergamote, Vanille & Narcisse, Magnolia & Mure and Thé Vert & Bigarade.
Reem Acra Eau de Parfum, $90-$125
The luxury brand's first fragrance is fittingly rich with woody amber, bergamot, orange blossom, jasmine, lily of the valley and peony notes.
Osmanthus Blossom, $60-$110
Like all of Jo Malone's fragrances, this clean white floral can be layered (Blackberry & Bay and Nectarine Blossom & Honey are the suggested pairings), or worn on its own as a light, refreshing scent.
Me, $55-$98
Surprisingly feminine and easy-to-wear given that it's formulated with, among other things, blueberry and liquorice, this new scent created by Alber Elbaz also has rose, tuberose and sandalwood.
