Natalia Vodianova runs Paris half-marathon, then takes grandmother to watch her on catwalk

"I did it again S)" reads the caption accompanying a photo of a smiley Natalia Vodianova wearing a pac-a-mac on Facebook. By 12.30pm yesterday, the Russian model had completed what has become something of a yearly habit: taking part in the Paris half-marathon, then walking (not jogging) in the Givenchy show.

If that's enough to make you choke on your cornflakes, may we add that the mother-of-three isn't actually partial to a run, and never trains before she embarks on the 13.1 mile trajectory. Her boyfriend Antoine Arnault, the son of LVMH owner Bernard Arnault, testified as much in the comment he left on Vodianova's Facebook page: "So impressed!!!!! Fantastic race baby!!! I testify 100% to no training before!!! only ice cream and good french food."

But not only does the 30-year-old do it to show how nonchalantly fit she is, Vodianova takes part to raise funds for her charity, the Naked Heart Foundation. Along with French cosmetics brand Guerlain, of whom she is the face, Natalia has so far raised £31,001.21 of a £170,000 target for the construction of a play park in the model's hometown of Nizhny Novgorod. The playground will be the Foundation's 100th play park facility in Russia, while the 2013 marathon marks Vodianova's fourth run.

Post-run the super then got a make-over, including pink, 1950's-style swimming cap hair to close the Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci show at 8pm. Family-loving Natalia even took her "fashion icon", i.e her grandmother Larisa, along to watch. "She always dressed well, had beautiful things - shoes, gloves, scarves - and kept everything in the house pristine" Natalia told The Telegraph of her relative. "She would get up at 6am, run in the park, swim in the frozen lake, and prepare breakfast by the time I woke up."
Seems like the two share more than just a sense of style, then…
