Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013 Post: day six

CATWALK MOMENT
The Kenzo show (above) was staged in La Samaritaine, the cavernous, riverside Art Deco department store which closed in 2005. The brand's creative directors, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, took a bow below a 40-strong parade of models on the gilded staircase. Theirs will be the first and last show staged in the setting, as it has been snapped up by LVMH and will be transformed into a luxury hotel and mall.

BEST IN FROW
Kim 'n' Kanye rocked up to see Riccardo Tisci's collection for Givenchy wearing his 'n' hers suits. Is it just us, or do they look rather bashful for once...?

FROW-verheard
Natalia does it again...
The Russian super and philanthropist performed what has become something of a yearly tradition: participating in the Paris half marathon, then walking in the Givenchy show. We wonder if she'll be at Stella today or if a bit of jogger's nipple will have prevailed (somehow we doubt it). Find out who she took along with her...

Shayk it...

We're more used to seeing Irina Shayk (she of Cristiano Ronaldo dating fame) posing seductively in her smalls but yesterday she proved that actually she's a pretty good fashion model too. As well as sporting a less than flattering 'do at Givenchy, for whom she walked exclusively, the beauty also had to cope with her best assets being entirely covered up too.

Meanwhile at Galliano...
…although creative director Bill Gaytten "did away with Galliano's runway theatrics, he didn't quite abandon the founder's codes altogether" according to WWD. British-born Gaytten stepped up to the plate after Galliano was fired from his eponymous label in 2011.

In the Givenchy gang...

Photos: @EdwardEnninful
Proof if ever we needed it that the fashion gang have welcomed Kanye West's baby mama Kim Kardashian into the fold came from W Magazine 's Edward Enninful at the exclusive Givenchy dinner last night. The fashion ed cheerily posted two photos of the couple with VERY complimentary captions: "At the Givenchy dinner with the BEAUTIFUL @KimKardashian xoxo" and "Brother's are gonna werk it out! With Kanye and Riccardo at the Givenchy dinner xoxo". Who's betting that baby's going to have some mini Givenchy?

LOOKS WE LOVED
Clockwise from top left: Super-cool staples by Kenzo; living the impeccable dream at Céline; coming up rosy at Givenchy; top-heavy at Akris; sheer and playful polka dots at Chloé; skater-skirt chic at Maxime Simoens

STREET STYLISTAS
If Paris fashionistas know one thing, it's how to layer their tailoring and work an oversized furry lapel. Paris-based stylist Elisa Nalin shows off a playful (pom-poms included) colour palette, while the right sartorialist channels the baby pink and white hues set to storm high streets for spring.

RE-MODELLED: Caroline Brasch Nielsen
Danish model Caroline Brasch Nielsen has a busy Sunday, after she was booked for big-name shows (left to right) Celine, Kenzo and Chloe. Look out for her in the new Uniqlo, Oscar de la Renta and Chloe campaigns this season.

BEAUTY MOMENT: GIVENCHY

Like a line up of synchronised swimmers, models at Givenchy were each given 1950's swimming cap hair in orange, pinks and black. Coiled to look like little roses, just like those bathing skullcaps of yesterday, the make-up by Pat McGrath followed the 'swimmers' theme with dewy, clear skin, and glossy wet look pink eyes and lips.
